IEEE OCEANS 06 Singapore May 16-19, 2006

Hello, greetings from the IEEE Oceanic Engineering Society, Singapore!

The OCEANS '06 technical program will continue to emphasize the traditional core areas of marine science and technology development, including such areas as: underwater acoustics, sonar signal processing, current measurement, seafloor remote sensing, transducer technology, precision navigation, deep ocean exploration, undersea vehicles, and submarine cable technology.

We are now in the final run-up to OCEANS'06 Asia Pacific IEEE Conference and Exhibition, to be held 16-19 May 2006 at the luxurious Swissotel, The Stamford, Singapore.

The prestigious international OCEANS Conference and Exhibition is making its debut in the Asia Pacific as a single focused and pure IEEE Oceanic Engineering event in the sparkling and diverse city of Singapore. The Conference covers a wide variety of topics that are of both international and local interest, such as Tsunami Warning Systems, Maritime and Homeland Security etc., while the Exhibition displays the latest ocean technologies from a variety of local and international companies.

An impressive line-up of tutorials has also been arranged to provide an excellent opportunity to learn from internationally renowned researchers on topics such as underwater communications, ocean acoustics, sonar signal processing and the design of autonomous underwater vehicles.

You will get to see a fun-filled Underwater Robotics Competition, held for the first time in Singapore, in conjunction with the Exhibition. An international student poster competition and presentation will also be held concurrently to encourage active participation of the next generation of ocean scientists and engineers.

Our exhibition space is almost fully booked and there is a limit to the number of registrations we can accept, so hurry and register now for this event at http://www.oceans06asiapacific.org. Only Oceans 06 Asia Pacific provides such comprehensive opportunities to gain invaluable insights and establish contacts with participating experts and industries on ocean sciences and marine technology in the growing marketplace of Asia.

We look forward to seeing you in Singapore, the gateway to ASIA!
